Ragan Cohn, CAE, Achieves GSAE's Highest Honor
Ragan Cohn, CAE, executive director of Meeting Expectations-managed the Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG), recently received the Georgia Society of Association Executives’ highest honor, the Clifford M. Clarke Award. Cohn was recognized for her exemplary leadership, service and outstanding accomplishments in the field of association management.
Meeting Expectations President Jalene Bermudez said Cohn’s expertise, wealth of knowledge and dedication to serve associations and their members shines brightly not only within the OAUG but with the association management community at large.
“Ragan joined the Meeting Expectations and the OAUG team earlier this year and her leadership has already made an indelible impact to the community of Oracle applications users and the OAUG staff,” Bermudez said. “It comes as no surprise to us at Meeting Expectations that GSAE has awarded Ragan with their highest honor. We are extremely lucky to have her as part of our team.”
The Clifford M. Clarke Award recognizes a member for an outstanding career of leadership and service to associations in Georgia. It is named after the late Cliff Clarke, president emeritus of the Arthritis Foundation and the first Georgian to serve as chief elected officer of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). GSAE recognized Cohn for her volunteer initiatives, including holding leadership roles like the chair of GSAE’s board of directors, chair of the GSAE Foundation board of trustees, spearheading a taskforce that created the GSAE Leadership Academy and leading efforts to rebrand the organization. Additionally, Cohn has held several volunteer roles within her local schools, the Association of Test Publishers, and the Georgia Chapter of Huntington’s Disease Society of America.
Cohn said she is honored for receiving the award and looks forward to continuing to make valuable contributions within the association community and the OAUG. “Being a part of GSAE has been a truly rewarding experience,” she said. “I’m humbled to receive the Clifford M. Clarke Award and to be recognized by colleagues and friends I hold in such high regard.”
Cohn joined Meeting Expectations in August of this year after holding various leadership positions during 19 years with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
