The Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention’s (OSAP) mission is to be the world’s leading provider of education that supports safe dental visits.
Upon the impending retirement of OSAP’s longtime executive director and direct-hire staff, the association needed a new staffing model.
The Meeting Expectations team worked with OSAP volunteer leaders to evaluate the efficacy of staffing the association through an association management company (AMC) vs hiring new full-time staff. By staffing through Meeting Expectations, OSAP was able to hire a new core team with direct experience in the industry and to draw upon a deep bench of professionals with expertise in marketing, design, education, information systems and association management on an as-needed basis.
The new staffing solution is cost-effective and impactful to the organization’s mission. The first annual event conducted under the new staffing structure resulted in a sold-out event with record-breaking attendance, with attendees hailing from 45 states and 7 countries, and a sold-out exhibit hall. OSAP also signed up the largest number of annual sponsors in its history.
