With just four weeks to “lift and shift” its in-person conference due to COVID-19, OATUG quickly pivoted to create two weeks of online educational content. We challenged ourselves to make the online event as valuable a replacement for the in-person experience as possible, including delivery of an impactful keynote address.
We leveraged our relationship with author and Hall of Fame speaker Dan Thurmon, who embraced the challenge to adapt a talk fitting for the times, “Off Balance, On Purpose”.
Dan’s live session involves acrobatics, juggling (with knives!) and a six-foot unicycle, so we needed to capture so much more than a talking head. We partnered with Dan’s production team and ran multiple technology tests to ensure flawless execution, culminating in a proof-of-concept dry run.
When the time came, we went live to Dan for a truly memorable session unlike any other during the conference.
“He was amazing! Energetic, informative, and most of all he spoke to the changes in work due to the pandemic.”
