Michael worked as a white water rafting guide when he was in college.
He’s incredibly proud of his filmmaker brother, who has won two Oscars.
He enjoys playing beach volleyball and paddle boarding in his free time.
About Michael
Michael Jones, Director of Education, serves the Oracle Applications & Technology Users Group (OATUG) and the Oracle Transportation Management SIG (OTM SIG). His primary expertise is managing education and the education process cycle within many of the events at Meeting Expectations, with an emphasis on the application of new technologies, the latest educational formats and tying educational content into marketing initiatives.
Michael previously spent 22 years with Xerox, supporting training and education for clients. While at Xerox, he worked with several teams involving processes and implementation. His responsibilities included providing education and awareness on new technologies and helping customers analyze conference data to grow attendance.
Michael earned his lean six sigma green belt which has helped him define processes, analyze procedures and find and eliminate inefficiencies. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in business and economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
