The Winning Streak Continues: IAEE 2019 Art of the Show

The International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) unveiled its 2019 Art of the Show awards, and once again, Meeting Expectations claimed top honors. The innovative, immersive OATUG Central – People Powering Progress booth, created for Oracle Applications & Technology Users Group (OATUG) COLLABORATE 19 conference, was recognized as the best Attendee/Booth Interaction, in the under 75,000 nsf category.

Our team designed OATUG Central with member engagement top of mind: from activating the user group’s new brand and website – also created by the Meeting Expectations team – to enabling visitors to give back to the conference’s host city, we created an experience that was flexible, functional and fun. Visitors experienced one-on-one demos to discover fresh resources on the new website, updated their OATUG member profiles, and explored The Hub, a new community forum. They also enjoyed group presentations and conducted informal meetups while recharging within the booth’s creative, branded seating. A 360-degree photo booth helped to build brand awareness beyond the walls of the conference, as attendees engaged in social sharing.

This immersive experience showcases our team’s talent in advancing our client’s stories, seamlessly integrating smart design and brand management to create an engaging experience that drives business results. During COLLABORATE 19, more than 2,400 people logged on to the new website and OATUG gained five new corporate memberships after experiencing the booth. To be recognized by our industry is icing on the cake.

Accompanying the membership activities, we also helped OATUG give back to the conference’s host city with the launch of OAUG4Hope. This corporate social responsibility program supporting Haven for Hope, serving San Antonio citizens experiencing homelessness. Booth visitors assembled over 300 personal hygiene kits, and the activation inspired exhibitors to donate their furnishings, flat-screen TVs and other booth décor – resulting in more than $10,000 in donation value.

The IAEE Art of the Show Competition is the only marketing competition that recognizes the know-how, inventiveness and preparation required to successfully market an exhibition. The winning Art of the Show entries will be showcased at the Art of the Show Competition Winner’s Gallery at Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition held December 3-5, 2019, in Las Vegas.
